If you can avoid rush hour and late evening departures (delays can start stacking up) LGA is lightyears ahead of JFK in experience. I've never had any issues with the construction there, they've actually cleaned up C in the last few months and it's super easy to get a ride share.
What are your tricks? I've on average waited 30 minutes for an Uber/Lyft that's "5 min away" and then it's taken another 20-30 minutes to get off the LGA property.

Obviously not as big a deal when going to LGA but when leaving LGA it's been a nightmare for me.

Plus if OP has lounge access JFK T4 > all 3 LGA SkyClubs IMO and if not the JFK food options are better than LGA
