Diamonds are not actually precious to Hilton

I’ve been a loyal Hilton Diamond member for
the past several years, but following a recent very bad experience I’m moving on.

Hilton thought a $100 gift card was a sufficient apology for stranding me without a hotel room after confirming my reservation. Since it was midnight when they informed me that my reserved room did not exist, and so many flights had been canceled that all hotels were full, I spent the night awake at the airport outside security (I was in a taxi on my way to the hotel when they called me to tell me they didn’t have a room - I would have at least had a cot provided by the airport if I had stayed inside security).

If a $100 gift card is how they apologize for their mistake that resulted in a terrible, sleepless night experienced by a long time loyal Diamond member, and they only sent me that because I took the time to let them know how unhappy I was, it clearly tells me that they do not value my loyalty.
