You haven't mentioned the length of your stay in SIN. If your transit time is less than 10 hours, I would stay in the transit hotel.
It is a little too cramped for my liking unless it is just for a quick sleep.
If over 10 hours between flights, and up to about 15 hours, I would stay at the Crown Plaza.
Anything over 15 hours I would go into town,
