Peg Leg Pete’s is a tourist favorite and the quality of food is worthwhile. Unfortunately, it’s usually an hour wait to get in the door. Vast majority of the restaurant is open air, no A/C.
Hemingways has, or used to have, dollar fish tacos on Wednesday nights.
Red Fish Blue Fish is great for kids. Appetizers are really good. Entire restaurant is open air with no A/C. Lots of beach games... cornhole, giant Jenga, etc.
Shaggy’s and The Frisky Dolphin are above average fried seafood shacks. Get a triggerfish basket. Mix of indoor/outdoor with A/C.
Flounders is a beach favorite. Their drinks will get you drunk. Mix of indoor/outdoor. They have a good playground if you have kids.
Grand Marlin is a beautiful space, but the price doesn’t match the quality. Mix of indoor/outdoor with A/C.
Native Cafe is about the only place open for breakfast. It fills up quickly and is very good. All indoors.
In downtown Pensacola....
Iron is my favorite restaurant in a 3-hour radius. Seriously amazing food.
Union Public House is very, very good.
McGuires is a must-do, just to say you did it. Be prepared for an hour wait.
