Seats allocated is not seats sold. Not every one will pick a specific seat allocation.
People flying for business/work (other peoples money) will often not book/confirm reservations until a few days before. So the load in J can change in a short time.
BNE/SYD to PER in J or economy? With VA?
J with VA to be booked with AC website - still need more AQD for 2019.
Does the schedule (departure - arrival time) make a difference?
Not really. I need to get to PER by Sept 7.
International to domestic transfer is easier at MEL, then BNE and last SYD

At times from USA/Canada to Perth via Asia can be be a better option. Or via AKL (New Zealand)
I tried to go through TPE when I can - I have family there and J usually with good price. However, I will need to book TPE to PER separately as I can't book it via AC website (i.e. can't book YVR -> TPE; TPE->PER; PER->TPE, TPE ->YVR on line). I find AC website quite limited when you want to have multi-stops in cities AC doesn't operate (i.e. TPE to PER). Do you call to book those flights? How do I find prices before I call so it doesn't take forever and in my experience, way more expensive than if I book the TPE - PER on my own?
