For a daytime 6 hour flight that I don't intend to sleep on, a hard lie flat without leg rest doesn't automatically trump a comfortable first class seat. But if they only recline a few inches, then it's not great. A comfortable reclining seat with a legrest would trump a hard lie flat without a reachable leg rest for this timing.
HA’s seat would be my choice if seat comfort is only criteria. You have an ottoman. You have an option of sleeping in a prone position if you need rest. However, if you won’t be sleeping, you might be able to save money flying AS.
