In which case you will earn for WTP. It used to be fairly common to show in your account after the flight as 0 miles/0 points as it then thinks that you are in a non earning fare class as it is P but it's easily rectified by claiming it on ba.com
Saying that, it's not been commented on for quite some time and the same for folks and I include myself in that who upgrade using Avios from WTP into CW (it then goes into the business redemption bucket, U class) and I have a sneaking suspicion this old 'bug' has been fixed for the most part.
If you can it's always appreciated for any upgrade offers to be posted in this thread as a recent database, if that's at all possible for you to do.
