Slight correction, the base room is the Jungle Oasis. Those are at the beach level but not on the beach, no view of any kind. The Ocean View is a level up; those are on the hillside above the lobby with views of the Andaman. If I were to return, I would take Ocean View over Ocean Front.
They call them suites but they're not. Just large rooms.
You're right. I was having a cat-style brain freeze when I wrote this.
Base villa/suite/apartment/bungalow/whatever is Jungle Oasis on the hill which has little privacy by the looks of it from afar. No bathing au naturelle in these pools. We got bumped to a Tropical Oasis down by the beach (but not on it) which was very private. We were happy with it for a points stay. Also happy with the close proximity to the unlimited Magnums in the freezer at the end of the lane. The couple, presumably newly married, in the room next to us down there clearly believed that it was private and proceeded their afternoon activities on the basis that if they can't be seen then they can't be heard.
