Old Amex paid ($9.95/ticket) travel delay protection?

I’ve been an amex customer for years, and also had citi prestige. I’ve charged all of my airline tickets to the Prestige since I got it because of the travel insurance included, which is now going away.

Ive been looking at other options, including an annual travel policy.

After seeing the 9.95 Travel Delay Protection charge pop up on my Amex Statement, triggered by a purchase through the International Airline Program, I had to rack my brain to remember what it was.

Anyone with any thoughts about whether this is worth it to keep? It seems cheaper than coverage offered by the airlines, but it doesn’t seem to cover much.

Add: This option apparently isn’t open to new members and hasn’t been for a number years.
