They were charged for 2 additional entrees (i.e. the bagel and oatmeal), in addition to the free omelets. They did complain about the lack of clear disclosure, and the charges were removed from their bill. They also only permit either coffee or juice — not both.
It's incremental cheapness like this sends guests to other hotels. Reminds me of the time at a different property that I had an included breakfast at a "cold buffet", used the toaster, and was handed a "hot buffet" surcharge bill. Never been back.
