I'm going to try this for the first time for a trip next year SFO to CDG in mid June. We need three seats.
1. Any read on the chances? It's a long time to lock up those miles. I'm booking a backup itinerary on another carrier that is less desirable.
2. I'm a 1MM Gold and my spouse has Gold status. Our son has no status. I usually book my son on me on the same record, because my status seems to produce slightly better results. I'll put my spouse on a separate record. Any reason not to follow this strategy for the Plan B approach?
