Taxis are easily available and inexpensive - I believe it's about $22 CAD from the airport to the Sheraton, and there's a lineup of taxis outside with a published list of flat rates for specific areas and hotels. Your other option if you're not wed to Hertz, National Car Rental at the airport is open later until 2 AM.
FYI, when I was there a couple weeks ago, they weren't charging for parking. They had some elevators out of order, so I think the free parking may have been a goodwill gesture for the poor elevator situation, so not sure if that's still in effect.
