Ths may have changed in the meantime but at least up until 4-5 years ago foreign carriers were not allowed to fly new aircraft to the US until 6 months after delivery. Yes, even Boeing aircraft. If this rule is still in place and they're not retrofitting any older aircraft at the moment then it'll be another few months before the US gets the new cabin. They had 2 deliveries in March so that would be September at the earliest. Why they're not using them for FRA then I don't know.
ANA took delivery of their first A380 on March 20, 2019, and the aircraft was in service to Hawaii by May 24, 2019. I'm not familiar with that particular rule, but I think that occurrence would demonstrate that it may no longer apply.
