Both are already oneworld members, and as such I can already easily book a single travel itinerary with both airlines. So then, what benefit does such a codeshare actually bring?
KA is not a full Oneworld member. Just an associate (was on the old OW web site, but that has gone)

Codeshares are for the benefit of airlines, to get sales. Not much in it for passengers
