I still remember the time when there was a flat points accrual (1000 points I think for above ~300€ or something) and the exchange rate was much better than any bank/Forex in Finland when you pre-ordered online. Now the exchange rates are typical airport robbery so not worth it IMO, only in case one desperately needs some foreign currency to a country where it is needed immediately on arrival for taxi etc..
