I'd be very surprised if they were running an MD-90 on that route except as some sort of re-positioning one-off (although not sure why an MD-90 would need to pass through SLC unless it was on the way to some sort of heavy MX in APAC). Given that it is hub to hub, they pretty much exclusively use larger capacity planes on those routes (757, A321, 739, and up until reecently they were using the last Domestic 767s on this route as well). The MD-90 is 20 seats smaller than the next smallest plane (739) they regularly fly there.
