So it looks like the P990 will convert to QP99, however I am a little confused on the P830 and P870, according to the wiki they should convert to QP83 and QP87 respectively however I see people mentioning at least trying to convert the P870 to QP91 instead. Can someone shed some light?
People are attempting to upgrade their certificates to higher categories which Marriott does not allow any longer. Some people are able to convince agents to do it for them though.
If you are happy to convert to the equivalent categories, then it is no issue. For your P870, ask for it to be converted to QP83 instead of QP87. You will get a 30k point refund. The old cat 6 is in between the new cat 4 and cat 5 so does not have an equivalent. Instead you get downgraded and a points refund.
