I did not travel with a Verizon phone specifically, but the cell coverage in general is excellent. So as long as Verizon has a roaming agreement for the Maldives it will be fine.
Thanks and they do have a roaming agreement so I should be good. Of course, Maldives is not included in their international package so the rates are absurd, but it's nice to know it's there if I need it.
