So you have BA status now? (BA silver = OW Sapphire = AA Plat).

With AA taxes are not included in the calculation. That is the fare less the taxes is used. Look in the AA forum for more info.

BA Silver (OW Sapp) gives you domestic lounge access for USA domestic flights, where as AA Plat will not
