Chiming in here as I work in the affiliate industry, which is what Aeroplan eStore uses and have worked with the Aeroplan eStore team in the past. Couple tips just in case:
- Make sure you have cookie tracking enabled. This is what gets reported back to the merchant network and signals you made a purchase.
- Make sure to not be using a private browser or ad blocker. Same thing, it will block the signal from being sent and will delay you in getting points, in any at all.
5-6 weeks for points is conservative at times as Aeroplan is more than likely waiting to get their commission from the merchant before paying you out. Sometimes that could take months, depending on a few factors:
- The merchants own payout policy and return policy. They might not pay out on orders till after the return period as ended, for obvious reasons (they aren't about to give you miles if you return an item)
- How often they pay the network. If they don't only pay them every 2 months and Aeroplan is waiting for their cut to pay you, that will delay it.
-Any other tracking issues they might have had with their affiliate links.
If you use Honey or Ebates for Cashback, it's the same thing. Ebates just generally pays out quicker for most merchants as they are a HUGE company with tons of money. Even then, they only send cashback checks every 3 months to account for any returns.
That being said, I'm still waiting a month later for my Amazon eStore points but I know they take forever.
