Thanks for the update. It's been years since I checked this hotel out. Back then, it was one of the worst in the FS chain and it sounds like it is retaining that characterization. The only good hotel in Sydney must remain the Park Hyatt -- which knows it and is able to get away with overpricing as a result.
The Shangri-La has a great breakfast and gym at least! Yea, the FS is horrible, I for sure can't think of a worse FS property that i've visited. I usually forget it exists until someone mentions it to me, and I think "hmmm 4S opened a SYD property?" check it out then realize "oh...that one."
