Some Asia Fairfields may offer free breakfast, but according to the link they're not required to do so, which I find surprising given that free breakfast at FFI is a brand standard & Asia normally goes above & beyond w/ offerings/service, not less than.

Posts above, and the one you quote, are referring to breakfast as a Titanium amenity, not as a benefit for all guests. The link you provide is referring to a breakfast for all guests.
As a Titanium benefit, there is no "Asia thing". There MAY be a Korea thing, though I was offered breakfast at the Fairfield Seoul as my amenity last year.
