That may explain what happened to me yesterday -- I was chasing down a fare that appeared and disappeared on sequential searches, trying to figure out whether it was a browser/cookie issue or maybe just that the backend was being slow to return results such that it was returning different inventory depending how long the system took to complete the search.
Long story short, when I finally did purchase the ticket, I was shocked to see the wrong date on my flight receipt but assumed I'd screwed up the search at some point (which is still possible

) Easy to fix because of risk-free cancellation of course.
