It's always been a gamble that award nights you want will still be available after the 7-10 days it takes the points to post after the Daily Getaways sale, but not even knowing whether most international properties will be bookable on points any longer (or at what rates) makes this much riskier than previous years.
Well, it seems like this year was a whole lot easier to pick up double packages of each offer than used to be the case the past few years.
I have to suspect that the redemption block on many international hotels did turn off some people. It turned me off too, but I am in this for more than just myself.
