Wow! I previously had LY as one of the least-likely airlines to partner with AS, but this is welcome nonetheless.
Looks like current LY destinations that can connect to AS:
BOS, ORD, JFK, SFO (May 13), LAX, LAS (June 14), MCO (July 2), EWR.
Maybe only LAX and SFO are useful to them though.
ORD only starts on March 20, 2020, and MCO is summer seasonal. LY also flies to MIA, which AS does not serve.
This partnership will bring the most value to those going from Israel to the west coast, and vice versa...
Given LY's route network I still don't understand why their partnership with AA isn't being renewed, but still this is great news.
