Slow ATL baggage claim for Southwest
Apologies for duplication of any threads that may have touched on this (I found none), but what is going on with WN’s delivery of luggage to the north terminal baggage claim in Atlanta? Too many times I’ve waited more than 30 minutes for my flight’s bags to come out, and the monitors never display the correct carousel where Bags arrive, and the delivery carousel for arriving flights is frequently changed by verbal announcement. I am also miffed at the local airport personnel on a power trip who accost passengers and demand proof that they own the bag they are claiming.
This is in contrast to the other side of the airport, where Delta deliver a bags within 20 minutes to the correct carousel with no issues.
I write this after my bag did not even arrive on the carousel with the rest of my flight’s bags. I had to claim it from the bag office. Nothing unusual about my bag today- no toolbag, not oversized, just a normal carryon. I would expect this from Spirit or Frontier, not Southwest.
