This thread has been a godsend. I am now aware of opportunities to extend and “convert“ to a higher category. I would just like to confirm my conclusions so that I don’t blow it.

I Purchased my travel package in July 2018. It is an 830T. It was never attached to a reservation. As far as I know, it is never been converted to a new category code.

Based on my reading of the thread, I believe that I can (1) Extend the expiration date by converting the certificate to a new certificate which will extend the date for one year from the date of conversion and (2) ”convert” the certificate to a higher category certificate at the time of the conversion.

Am am I on the right track? Is there a way to confirm that my legacy certificate was never converted to a new category? I don’t want to wait until close to the current expiration date to convert only to find out that there is a problem.
