Hello friends,

I have booked a JAL flight (JFK to NRT) for August through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal and am trying to see if I can pre-select my seat. I am unable to do so on the JAL website, as they state that I need to contact the agency that I used to book the flight with ("Warning: Some functions are not available since this reservation was created by other airlines or travel agencies. Please contact the airline or travel agency where you have created your reservation for more details.") while Chase (i.e. the agency) states in the confirmation e-mail that I should contact the airline to select a seat ("Note: Seat choice is not guaranteed, please check with airline to confirm seat selection."). Has anyone had to deal with this in the past? Should I just wait until closer to takeoff?
