We're not leaving the EU however. We are flying from Munich to Spain (Palma is last stop). But we are British and Australian passport holders (the Australian has Spanish residence in his passport though. We have a third person flying from Munich to London who is also an Australian passport holder. Can any of us get VAT back?
Thanks for helping to clear this up

Assuming your final port of embarkation is Munich, before leaving the EU, then you can claim a VAT refund.
When shopping at the airport, then Lufthansa WorldShop (Terminal 2) is your only option for Lufthansa-branded RIMOWA.
If you want current generation or new-old stock, then heading into Munich is your best option.
Heading into Munich, you can go to the RIMOWA flagship retail store or attempt to find former authorized retailers who would be trying to clear their NOS inventory.
Lederwaren Hetzeneker used to be a great option for RIMOWA, as they would give you an additional discount if you paid in cash. However, I haven't been back to them since the new pricing structure and retail plan went into effect last fall.
Galeria Kaufhof is still an authorized distributor of RIMOWA, and use Global Blue as their tax refund service.
Best wishes on your purchase!
