I highly doubt that individuals summoned for jury duty at federal courthouses will be required to present REAL ID compliant documents; that will make it too easy to evade subpoenas or jury service.
I believe they are independent issues. But I do agree that it is indeed a loophole.

For what it is worth, I don't recall having to present any form of ID when I reported to jury duty at the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
I recall every single time, I needed to be stop at the security checkpoint in order to show my ID in order to enter U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, regardless branches.
