1) the 737-800 is a previous generation of the 737 compared to the MAX. All MAXs are grounded atm and it’s unlikely any will be flying by the time of your trip.
2) from memory the aa aircraft should have IFE. However you may want to have things on your tablet as there is no guarantee there will be something you want to watch on it.
