I got the old config DOH-AKL last week - disappointing as it had been QSuite for a couple of weeks! It was ok though.
as you’ll need a 777LR for that long a distance, I understand that they’ll all be converted by Christmas, so you should be fine
I like the 2-2-2 configuration on the 77L, ok, stepping over someone is not great. But the seat is huge, the cabin open, and it's really comfortable... especially after several champagnes!
