For what it's worth, I was going to stay here and then noticed the expensive $39 nightly resort fee.

I invoked the obscure provision in the Marriott Bonvoy terms and conditions requiring a property charging a resort fee for internet access to provide an alternative. The hotel's alternative, at least for me, was to discount the resort fee from $39 to $25. That's fair, though, of course, I think the resort fee should be waived.

At this property, the resort fee includes:

-- wireless internet
-- in-room Starbucks coffee
-- one bottle of in-room water per day
-- sunrise yoga
-- Westin Run events
-- Westin bicycle rental
-- 24-hour gym access
-- Two beach chairs each day

I haven't decided if I'm staying, but at least I got a concession.

It sounds like the biggest complaint is the food-and-beverage, especially if you're one of those guests who actually wants to stay at the property to eat.
