We did the timeshare deal here a few years ago for $1,500 for 5 nights in the 2 bed/2 bath. It was the only timeshare presentation I've ever done, and while not something I would frequently do, I didn't think it was too bad. No hassles from anyone outside of the presentation. I just received the offer again this week which is even better this time - $1,000, plus a rental car, for the same 2 bed/2 bath. We will likely make the down payment and hopefully make a trip work.

Based on the terms in my email, the $500 down payment is clearly non-refundable.
