My trusty carry-on has never been measured in all my travels around Europe and parts east, but is a bit bigger than AA's stated limits (mainly in the width). For those with domestic US AA experience, is this going to be an issue?

If you are in First/Business you will probably not have a problem ( unless on a regional jet where space is very limited and youtr bag will be valet checked prior to boarding the aircraft and returned after you leave the aircraft at your destination). you will probably be surprised at what does come on as hand baggage)
