That’s the thing. I end up with at least 4 companion tickets a year based on my yearly spend with WestJet. They’re all WestJet wide tickets now too. So the companion fare from the Mastercard doesn’t really do much for me.
The only reason I think it might work for me is so that I can add more WestJet dollars to my account instead of trying to use a mix of WestJet dollars and points from another card when it comes time to travel personally.
Same boat.. the extra percent in westjet dollars really help as I also have more companion fares then I would ever need
