I read it to mean they follow each airline's individual policy.
If that were the case they wouldn't allow 24 hour cancellations on American flights at all, especially within 7 days of traveling.
I know they allow it within 24 hours, I'm just trying to find someone with some personal experience to validate what the agent was saying.
