To answer you on KIV, there is a lounge which is open to Priority Pass. Their directions are:
"Airside - after Passport Control and Duty Free, turn left. Take the escalator or stairs to the 2nd Floor and turn left. Pass the 'Golden Jet Restaurant' and then turn right to where the lounge is located."
Apparently LOT don't pay for KIV lounge either, but the *A finder shows OS and LH does.
You're right that there is also a dictator terminal. Looks very nice and you can even pay for a pretty Moldavian girl in national costume to give you the bread & salt service.

Thanks for the answer! And yeah it's the traditional Moldovan greeting - have seen it myself in some traditional villages! I can imagine that eg. business executives might like it if they are welcoming some trading partners or so into the countries to formally welcome them this way. And 'dictator terminal' indeed sounds apt for such private terminal and lounge! Will need to keep my eyes open next time at KIV for the normal lounge then - there are some pretty decent fares to ex-Soviet countries that are half as cheap as those originating from Romania - so I can see myself positioning to Chisinau and flying from there in the future.
