As far as I can tell, there are two unofficial rules concerning earnings on at least some Oneworld partner airlines:
- Flights below 500 miles earn 750 base points rather than 1 base point per kilometer. Or not.
- Flights operated by non-Oneworld carriers may or may not earn.
On the first rule, I've confirmed at least AA, AB (R.I.P.), CX/KA and IB, though I don't know if it's universal.
I have never tried my luck with the second rule. I've heard that QF credits QF-coded EK-operated flights though?
