I’ll usually book a Premium or Luxury when it’s only a few bucks more than a Full Size. My rentals at HNL are only for a day, so it’s not a huge difference (vs. a week or longer where the difference is multiplied). However, I’ve had no complaints when I’ve booked a Full Size and picked from the Exec line.
You can scroll through the past entries in this thread, but the Exec line will usually be a selection of Intermediate SUVs (Rogue SLs are nicely equipped; Forester is usually bare-bones), a few Premium sedans (Nissan Maxima, Acura TLX), and a sprinkling of Full Size sedans - Fusions, Camry, or Altima. The wildcards are the occasional larger SUV (up to and including the Audi Q7 — rare, but it’s happened), convertible, or Jeep Wrangler.
