I just ran into this with a reservation at the Four Points Knoxville - Cumberland House. I had made a 1 night award reservation for Sept. 7th, 2019. Didn't realize it had the "non-refundable if cancelled more than 1 day after booking" clause. Luckily for me, when I called to cancel, I was told since I was a "Plat" they could cancel without any penalty. So points were back and no charge on my CC.

I did just check and an award reservation for that night still shows the same non-refundable after 1 day rate rules.
