I think you need to put it in perspective to the public areas of the terminal. I find the level of calmness in the lounge is less than public areas of the terminal but tracks in the same direction.

Sunday morning the terminal is calm and the lounge is an oasis of peace
Monday morning the terminal is pretty busy like Central Station and the lounge is no oasis but is much calmer than outside.
When there are upteen cancellations due to bad weather the terminal is chaos and the lounge is very busy but far more tolerable than moving outside.
