Deflated pretty well instantly to fully flat. No struggling required. Rolling it up into the original size impossible on plane (yep, Mr. Bean skit appropriate) but I just folded it up flat, and put in carry-on. Took seconds, takes up no space. I then properly folded and rolled up and put in its sleeve when at hotel.
