LAX to ATL. Lunch was a choice of the cold cut plate and a curried chicken and rice. Not a fan of curry, but the cc plate just doesn't satisfy. The chicken was well seasoned and served nicely warmed along with the rice. It had what I think was a yogurt based sauce. Really nice, but a little skimpy. Maybe a veggie? Chopped tomato, cucumber and pepper salad and what I predict will become the ubiquitous desert, the chocolate cake lollipop.
AA, on the same stage length, serves an appetizer, full entree, rolls, and a substantial dessert of some kind (pie/cake). You were right -- that's embarrassingly spartan and sparse, especially for a near-transcon.
