Incorrect, no policy has changed yet...if premium seats are available, buddies are still eligible for them, even without the employee. I'll echo other posters though that it's going to be incredibly tough to get D1 out of AMS in the summer. Try off-peak days (Tuesday/Wednesday) for your best chance.
