Now for all their faults and having many subpar lounges across the network as someone who calls LGW his home airport i'm a fan of the Business lounge there as a Silver/ Sapphire whose unlikely to reach Gold/ Emerald. I'm also aware of the hallowed place the CCR holds for those of us not lucky enough to enjoy it regularly.
The CCR is an interesting example to cite because it is explicitly excluded from normal OneWorld lounge access rules. You can't access the CCR just because you are a OneWorld Emerald (even if flying in F on an airline other than BA). The two things the CCR offers that the BA Galleries First does not are the dining room and the cabanas. CX's The Wing in HKG has both. CX's F lounge in LHR T3 has an order-off-the-menu dining room. Notably, CX lounges offer Cathay Delights. I hope CX doesn't give up this kind of brand differentiation. Maybe it could work if the OneWorld lounge had a "CX Corner" where one could get specialty food and drink. Likewise there could be an MH Corner with satay.
