Yes , you are missing something (semi) obvious- this is a routing fare not an MPM fare and the valid routings are somewhat more restrictive than the stopover provision would suggest. So it would seem that your stopovers are limited to 1 free in HKG in each direction and 1 at EUR150 in Europe at the CX port at which you enter Europe on your return
