I remember flying Mohawk to ITH; it was awful. Then Allegheny, which I remember as 2nd worst, bought it. I think US Air then swallowed Allegheny. I also remember flying Braniff to Austin, TX, and TWA and PanAm a bunch of places. Definitely also flew Northwest, Piedmont, and Continental. WardAir was great while it lasted; I remember flying them internationally. They had tablecloths and decent silverware even in economy (before the knife ban, of course).

Wasn't there a Northeast airline too?
