American Platinum flying Iberia - how to transfer status?
I have some flights coming up on Iberia and I'm an AA Platinum. I want to somehow make it so that Iberia recognizes my OneWorld status but cannot figure out how to do this. I called them to ask if I could put my American number in the reservation instead of my Iberia Avios number, and they said I couldn't. They didn't appear to understand why I would want this or what I was trying to do.
Can anyone help me get this sorted out?
