We got bed bugs at a JW Marriott a few years back,
the whole process with Marriott corporate was very professional and accommodating.

They paid for a company to come out and check our house for bed bugs, and were willing to pay for the whole cleaning process at our house if bed bugs were discovered.
We were pro active though and kept all luggage and clothing out in the sun in our backyard for a few days before bringing into the house, so no bed bugs thankfully.

Ended up getting 90,000 points and $500 as compensation.

As a side note, everyone in my family got bitten by bed bugs, except for myself (even though we were all in the same room, and my wife and I were in the same bed),
evidently they don't like to bite people that have been drinking alcohol!!
